MW3 DLC, Maps, Spec Ops Comes to PC

imageGood news, MW3 fans! The epic-madness of MW3 is now available on PC. It may had taken several torturous days of waiting, but the first DLC available for MW3 on PC has finally arrived. Included  in the downloadable content is  four new multiplayer maps along with two new Spec Ops… the cost is cheap, sending you back at a mere 15 dollars…but you should only pull out the green paper if you can forgive publisher Activision for taking such a long time to make the DLC happen on the PC side.

Something that kinda… sorta of stinks… is that the DLC is nothing new under the sun – your Xbox friends will be taunting you for getting the same content they got a millennia ago on Xbox LIVE. Still, 15 bucks does sound cheap… after all… who could refuse more madness for the awesome game title that is MW3.

This really feels like the expansive, immersive world it’s meant to be. Rich textures, great character models, and fabulous scenery… from the Eiffel Tower to the rusted Somalian outposts, this is truly another world..

The campaign is absolutely fabulous. It is rich, immersive, and completely envelops you into hours of gameplay. Co-op is as fun as the number of players engaged… and multiplayer, well… .for those long-time COD fans, multiplayer is as great as ever…. of course, the campaign shines too bright, while Co-op mode seems to dim… hmm…

The ambiance and sound effects are spot-on. From the shrill of a Black Hawk to the steady rumble of machine gun fire, MW3 lacks nothing in how warfare sounds….the killer sound is probably the buzzing radio as it steadily calls out “Target sighted at 3’o’clock”

Lasting Appeal   StarStarStarStar

The campaign is mind-boggling… but it would have been nice if the folks at Infinity Ward had rolled up their sleeves and tackled the Co-op gameplay…the multiplayer is not too special…. as far as lasting appeal, it seems like the developers poured their heart and soul into the campaign, and left other things untouched.

Presentation StarStarStarStarStar

Menus are clear and sleek. Every mission begins with a dazzling ( but pleasant) briefing. Menus, maps, notes, and videos sprawl all over the screen, as the gamer is given the situation behind the mission he is about to play. The briefings are certainly non-intrusive and give the anxious gamer some eye-candy while he awaits the mission to load. In general, the game menu hierarchy is structured phenomenally well.

Those mission briefings are truly a big piece of the puzzle… they remind you why you did throw 60 bucks at a DVD disc….

MW3: 60 FPS Game?Battlefield 3 falls short

MW3 has frequently touted its consistent soild frame per second experience. Running at a standard 60fps on both PC and console, it is easy to see why its passionate fans( others and yours truly) have made fun of the 30fps PC version of Battlefield 3, MW3’s only rival.

What to Expect at E3 with MW3 MW3 First Impression! Stunning!!!

Still the solid Mw3 which previewed at Xbox E3 conference, has some work cut out for it. It has the immense pressure of following the BlackOps success and pleasing it’s millions of gamer fans worldwide. MW3 ‘s approach on the PC should turn a few hard-core Battlefield gamers into loyal MW3 fans. Apart from the obvious, MW3 actually has quite a bit in common with Battlefield3, but in the frames per second discussion, they have fallen short with only 30 fps for Battlefield3 PC.

Bottom line: PC gamers should be overjoyed that MW3 development team have not forgotten them in their awesome graphic Mw3 experience- why would a gamer pay the same price for an inferior PC game?
